Our stay at La Salle in St Puy with hosts Jill and Terry was one of the best holidays I could imagine. they were perfect hosts providing excellent accommodation and superb food. There was such a relaxed atmosphere and we spent a lot of time laughing with them and other guests who were obviously enjoying themselves as much as we were. Pam Cox is an excellent painter in pastels and mixed media and passed on her knowledge and enthusiasm for the art. Thank you for such a wonderful time. St puy will certainly be a destination next year. Already looking forward to it. Best wishes.

I attended the painting holiday tutored by Pam Cox in September as a non painting guest and had as much pleasure as the other guests. Teaching was relaxed and fruitful. I was amazed at the results of the painters in just a few days. they seemed to create beauty on their page every day even though some were not confident.

La Salle is a beautiful place to while away the hours, walking, reading, swimming and eating. Surrounding areas are fantastic to visit. There are abundant places for food, markets and gifts. Great views and superb chateaux. The local wine is almost too drinkable. There is so much to see and do we wanted to stay longer and will certainly be returning next year.

We spent a very busy and idyllic week at La Salle which is spacious and immaculately presented and has the advantage of being a 5 min walk to picturesque , St Puy. The owners are delightful, friendly but discrete and provide informal French breakfasts and lunches and delicious home cooked evening meals served with local wines, deserts were wonderful. Our hosts involved us in local events including wine tasting, market visits and local art collections.

Pam Cox’s knowledge and skills came across in the demonstrations of how to achieve various atmospheric effects in landscape painting and individual support and guidance was friendly, encouraging and at times very amusing. She had a light hearted informed approach that generated total enthusiasm and led to the whole group producing some very competent pastel paintings. excellent week.
